RAJ TULSHAN is the Founding Member of Loanmantra, LLC. Raj is a financial management professional with more than 15 years experience in commercial finance and business operations for start-up companies as well as mid to large corporations. He has expertise in financial and operational evaluation and implementation of financial improvements to aid businesses in achieving greater profitability. Raj is highly skilled in executing principal investment transactions, whole-loan asset purchases and joint-venture undertakings.
Raj developed his passion for finance and the financial markets during his tenure at Merrill Lynch & Co. in New York City. For more than nine years, he worked in the Principal Investments and Structured Products Group where he specialized in the origination and execution of principal investment transactions and structured-finance deals. While at Merrill Lynch, he developed an expertise in financial models in the areas of real estate, auto, education and other esoteric asset classes.
Prior to founding Loanmantra, Raj worked with another small business advisory firm, where he collaborated with financial institutions and financial service companies to facilitate creative lending options for small-business borrowers.
Raj holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Ithaca College and an MBA from the University of Oxford, Said School of Business. Raj is a native Hindi and Bengali speaker.
Vikas brings more than 20 years of experience in business development, origination, and sales to his role as business development at Loanmantra. Vikas’ primary focus is on building awareness about Loanmantra’s unique capabilities among prospective clients and developing, defining, negotiating and closing business relationships. He has a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions and services that HCA can provide, and of HCA’s competitors. He brings a vitality, professionalism and warmth, along with a mindset of service and advocacy to his work. Applying a strong expertise in data-driven, long-term strategic planning, Vikas provides clients with superior leadership during critical financial transition phases.
Prior to joining HCA, Vikas was the CEO of InTouch Concepts and Wireless Media, a collective of highly successful retail wireless outfits that began as small businesses. In his fourteen years as CEO, Vikas led these companies through start-up, and growth. He managed a diverse project portfolio including business development, project valuation, due diligence, deal parameter, and negotiation processes. His efforts resulted in growth of the outfits from small businesses to large corporations with annual revenues of more than $225 million. Based on this experience, Vikas is well equipped to examine the risks and potentials facing small businesses and to estimate their needs and goals throughout the growth process. Vikas is adept at closing business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts and overseeing all facets of the loan process.
Vikas has significant industry contacts and works tirelessly to maintain existing relationships and establish new relationships with commercial bankers, strategic partners and business owners. These relationships are the cornerstone of Vikas’ service platform and afford HCA’s clients broader opportunities in the marketplace.
In addition to his love for cooking, Vikas enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
